Playing Premium Hands

The premium hands are relatively easy to play as they can win without improvement.

Generally I will raise it up with a premium hand as a lot of players won't respect my raises and will call all the way.

Be aware of some dangerous situations though, lets say you have QQ in late position, 2 players have limped in (just called the BB) before you, you raise, the BB calls and the other players call,

they have:
JTu
A3s
AQu

the flop comes AQ3,

you now have 3 Queens but there is a good possibility that regardless of how much you raise and reraise, they will all come with you to the turn card, you are still the favourite to win the hand.

Be aware that if any Ace, King or Three falls (2.6:1 by the river card) then you are beat, prepare yourself for this playing low limit holdem and try to remember that when you have the best hand it is worth getting as much money as you can into the pot. Pocket Pairs »»
